LAVA is a global short-video challenge product operated by Lava Studios. By creating an account or submitting content you agree to these terms.
Eligibility
You must meet the minimum age stated on each challenge (16+ unless a challenge says otherwise). Where local law requires guardian consent, you are responsible for obtaining it. Country eligibility may vary by challenge.
Your content
You keep the rights you already have in your videos. You grant LAVA a license to host, transcode, display, and promote your entry in connection with the challenge. You must have the right to perform and record the work, including music. Covers do not mean LAVA has licensed the underlying composition. Comments and messages are also your content; don’t post anything illegal, harassing, or that you don’t have the right to share.
Challenges and prizes
Challenge rules on the challenge page control. Prizes are whatever that challenge actually offers — LAVA does not promise recording contracts or cash unless a specific challenge says so in writing. Voting is free. Paid votes, gambling-like mechanics, and bot farms are prohibited. Follower count does not determine winners.
Social features
You can follow people, comment on public videos, and block accounts. Direct messages are one-to-one and only available if you follow the other person or they follow you. Blocking hides that person from Watch, search, and messages.
Moderation
We may remove content, suspend accounts, and void votes that look fraudulent. You can report entries. Sponsored challenges will be disclosed on the challenge page.
Accounts
You can reset your password from the app. You can delete your account at any time from You → Settings → Delete account, which removes your profile, media, and auth record. See also the Privacy policy.
